Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Endorses Biden-Harris Ticket for White House

The Hollywood superstar used his first public presidential endorsement to support the Democratic nominees Sunday, CBS News reports.

What We Know:

  • Dwayne Johnson, colloquially referred to as “The Rock,” endorsed Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Harris’ campaign in a video posted to social media.
  • “In this critical election, I believe Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are the best to lead our country, and as my first ever (public) Presidential endorsement, I proudly endorse them for the presidential office of our United States.”

  • The post included a video meeting between the three where Johnson asked the politicians about their plans if elected to serve in the White House. Biden said, “When we fail, acknowledge it. We’re not going to be perfect, but take responsibility,” when asked how they’ll earn the respect of the American people. Harris added that respect “is about trust”.
  • Both Biden and Harris expressed their enthusiasm via social media following the announcement.

The endorsement comes just two days before the first presidential debate where Biden will face off against President Trump in a highly anticipated matchup.
