A man was arrested Monday morning for reportedly firing and killing his wife and children at their East Dallas apartment.
What We Know:
- Dallas officers received a call around 11 a.m. involving a man who stated he gunned down his family. Officers arrived at this scene because the man called an alarm company, who then contacted police dispatch.
- The man James Webb, 57, is accused of shooting and killing his wife, Victoria Bunton, and their two boys, ages 13 and 16. The identity of the boys has not been issued.
- Police officials found Webb in front of Rosemont at Ash Creek Apartments. Officers arrested Webb after finding the bodies of all three family members. They also found a handgun and shell casings inside the apartment.
- The affidavit documents state that Webb had been arguing with Bunton because he had a headache and said that his wife and two children were being too loud.
- The warrant document states that Webb mentioned he was tired of all three of the victims yelling and making so much noise and telling him that there was nothing wrong with him. So, he decided to shoot them.
- Officers mentioned that Webb had waited about an hour and then used the medical emergency alert device to make the 911 call and then made the confession.
- Detectives from the homicide division acquired a warrant to go through the apartment as residents were standing behind the police tape at the complex Monday afternoon.
- Neighbors were heartbroken by the news and stated that Victoria was genuinely kind and sweet, and her children were brilliant. It was stated that the last time the victims were seen was on Friday when the boys were helping their mother with groceries.
James Webb has been charged with capital murder. His mugshot has not been released yet.
