In a game against the Raiders, Deshaun Watson took a cleat to the eye before throwing a ball for a touchdown.
What We Know:
- After a 26-3 victory over Jacksonville Watson said that the key to his recovery was the Popeyes chicken sandwich, according to Sports Illustrated.
- Watson continued with “Man, shout out to Popeyes. They sent me, I shouldn’t be eating fast food, but I don’t know, I guess my background is just, I love it, so I don’t know, it just kind of, we got ties, shout out to Popeyes,”
- When Popeyes first launched the sandwich they ran out of stock in two weeks. The sandwich returned a few days ago.
“I’ll tell you what the key was — the Popeyes spicy chicken sandwiches that I ate this week, that helped the eye.”

He also confirmed he was one of the lucky people to get the sandwich before they ran out last time.
