A CNN Reporter Breaks Down What to Expect from New Tyre Nichols Videos | WATCH

*More than 20 hours of new video was set to be released relating to the brutal beating death by now-fired 5 Memphis police officers of Tyre Nichols in January.

However, any new video from the now infamous January traffic stop that led to the deadly beating of Nichols was delayed Wednesday, according to a court order, as the US Department of Justice announced it would perform a review of the Memphis Police Department after Nichols’ death.

“The release of this information shall be subject to further orders of this court and, in the public interest, will be ordered as soon as practicable,” reads the order, which followed a motion filed by Blake Ballin, a defense attorney for Desmond Mills Jr., one of the former officers accused in the brutal encounter with Nichols. Ballin indicated his motion was an effort to ensure the release would not prejudice a future jury.

This new information comes as officials reveal that a seventh Memphis police officer has now been fired, while five have been criminally charged.
