Zoe Kravitz has been officially cast as Catwoman in Mat Reeves’ The Batman.
What We Know:
- Actress Zoe Kravitz has been officially cast as Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Kravitz will star alongside Robert Pattinson, who is portraying the masked vigilante Batman also known as Bruce Wayne.
- The role came down to actresses Kravitz, Zazie Beetz, Eiza Gonzalez, and Alicia Vikander. Pre-production on the Warner Bros.–DC Comics pic is expected to start this summer.
- No official start date has been set however, filming could start in late 2019 or early 2020. The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
- Catwoman has been portrayed by Eartha Kitt, Anne Hathaway, Michelle Pfeiffer and then by Halle Berry in 2004. Fans of the actress are saying this comes as no surprise and are loving the irony as her mother’s husband, Jason Momoa, portrayed Aquaman in the 2018 movie. He praised his stepdaughter for landing the role in an Instagram post.
DC Comics fans continue to be excited as the movie production is soon to be underway.
