Rapper Cardi B had to cancel a concert Tuesday night minutes before showtime due to a security threat at the venue.

- Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department tweeted to numerous angry fans that the show had to be postponed due to an “unverified threat.” They reassured everyone despite the threat that there was “no immediate threat to public safety” and that authorities were currently investigating.
- The venue, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, also confirmed in a message on Twitter that the concert would be rescheduled for Sept. 11 and that “all tickets for the original date will be honored.”

- Cardi B later shared a Twitter video of her at rehearsals for the show and issued her own apology, stating that what was important was “my safety and your safety first.”
- She also posted on Instagram stating “Dear Indiana, I just want to let you know I was in the venue today. I rehearsed and started doing glam…I want to thank the promoters we have already rescheduled the show…I’m so sorry guys I never dealt with a situation like this before and I’m not taking any chances. I love you guys ❤️❤️.”
