Former Love and Hip Hop Atlanta star Benzino was arrested for an outstanding warrant of failure to appear in court for traffic tickets.
What We Know:
- On Saturday, Benzino’s tags were ran by Brookhaven police during a traffic stop and they discovered he had multiple warrants for traffic tickets.
- During the stop, Benzino was aggressive and vulgar towards the female officer. Benzino believed he was racially profiled because he believed he didn’t do anything wrong to the officer.
- The female officer tried to explain to him that the law allows cops to run tags on vehicles at any time and that his being detained had nothing to do with race.
- When Benzino was handcuffed he went from angry to furious, yelling and throwing f-bombs towards the female officer. He was also mentally abusive as he continued to be vulgar with the female cop on the way to jail.
When Benzino was released from jail he told TMZ that he would like to apologize for his behavior and that his anger got the best of him.
