On Thursday, BET announced that Nipsey Hussle will be awarded the Humanitarian Award at the 2019 BET Awards.
What We Know:
- Nipsey Hussle ceremony on the BET Awards will be an immense honor for us to recognize him, Eonline said.
- Executive Vice President and head of Programming at BET, Connie Orlando said, “His passing was a tremendous loss to the entertainment industry and to the culture. We will continue to remember his advocacy and be inspired by the groundwork he set forth and his dire commitment to social change.”
- The 33-year old rapper and community activist was recently gunned down and killed on March 31 outside his clothing store in South Los Angles.
- Hussle dedicated his life and time to create ways to stop the violence in his community. But his work wasn’t convincing enough for Eric Holder.
- Holder is the killer of Hussle. In a recent case, “Holder has petitioned the judge to keep the files sealed to receive a fair trial, He is trying to cover his own self, but we will see how far that will take him. In the same token, Holder is afraid of the public’s reaction to the information in the documents,” said Blacknewsalerts.
Killing an innocent man who’s trying to better the community may seem odd but it actually happens more often than you believe. I am looking forward to watching the BET Awards on June 23 in Hussle’s honor.
