Volume II of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix documentary just dropped, and it’s explosive. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed they suffered a miscarriage as a direct result of the British media intruding into their lives, Prince William “bullied” them out of the royal family, and Harry’s father, King Charles II, lied and leaked stories about them. Highlights inside…
In case Volume I of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix documentary didn’t give you the “tea” you were looking for, Volume II will certainly deliver.
In the second half of their documentary, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry detail their experiences with the British Royal Family, and they even identify which royal family members were causing drama behind-the-scenes. It seems some royal family members didn’t like the fact the former “Suits” star was “stealing their shine,” so to speak.

“The issue is when someone who’s marrying in, who should be a supporting act, is then stealing the limelight or doing the job better than the person who was born to do this,” Harry said in the doc. “That upsets people, it shifts the balance.”
One of the most explosive claims from the second half of the documentary was that Meghan and Harry miscarried as a result of the British media.
Jenny Afia, the couple’s lawyer, said she was aware of the “toll” it took on Megan when she pursued legal action against Associated Newspapers in 2020, after the publisher of the Mail on Sunday and the MailOnline printed sections of a private letter she sent to her father, Thomas Markle, following her May 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.
Their lawyer went on to say that Meghan was pregnant but couldn’t sleep because of the stress of the couple’s move to Montecito, California.
”The first morning that we woke up in our new home is when I miscarried,” said Meghan.
”I believe my wife suffered a miscarriage because of what the Mail did,” added Harry. “I watched the whole thing. Now do we absolutely know that the miscarriage was caused by that? Of course, we don’t.”
He continued, “[But] bearing in mind the stress that caused the lack of sleep and the timing of the pregnancy, how many weeks in she was, I can say from what I saw, that miscarriage was created by what they were trying to do to her. I thought she was brave and courageous, but that doesn’t surprise me because she is brave and courageous.”
Prince Harry talked about how his brother Prince William “bullied” him and Meghan out of the royal family.
While Harry insisted that he never “surprised” his grandmother by announcing that he and Meghan were leaving the royal family and moving to Canada, he did say that what followed felt like an attack on him. After the couple’s plans to leave the UK were made public, a meeting with Queen Elizabeth II was arranged at her country home Sandringham, with William and Charles in attendance.
”It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that weren’t true and my grandmother quietly sit there and take it all in,” Harry said of the meeting, his interview interspersed with videos of the brothers as children playing together.
“Once I got in the car, after the meeting, I was told about a joint statement that had been put out in my name and my brother’s name squashing the story about him bullying us out of the family,” Harry continued. “I couldn’t believe it. No one had asked me permission to put my name to a statement like that. And I rang M [Meghan] and I told her and she burst into floods of tears. Because within four hours, they were happy to lie to protect my brother and yet for three years they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.”
Later in the series, Harry said, “I’ve had to make peace with the fact that we’re probably never gonna get genuine accountability or a genuine apology.”
Prince Harry also implied that the story about him and Meghan wanting to move to Canada was leaked by his own father, King Charles II (or at least his father’s staff). Harry described how his father demanded that Harry and Meghan put their plans to “step back” from the Royal Family in writing to his father the previous time had ended up in the media.
“His dad said ‘put it in writing’ and he did and it was just five days later it was on the front page of a newspaper,” Meghan said.
Harry said The Sun’s reference to Harry and Meghan’s willingness to give up their Sussex titles as part of the deal “was the giveaway that it had been leaked.” Hmph.
“There’s leaking but there’s also planting of stories,” Harry said about the Royal Family’s relationship with the media.
Prince Harry also stated that he and his brother, who initially shared an office and staff within Kensington Palace, had sworn never to “trade” stories with the media, a practice he described as offering journalists a story about members of the family in exchange for a negative story about themselves.
“And to see my brother’s office copy the very same thing we promised the two of us would never ever do, that was heartbreaking,” Harry said, although he didn’t give any specific examples of what stories William tried to suppress.
The first three episodes of their Netflix documentary were released last week and have received 81.55 million views, proving the public wants to know more about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from the Royal Family.
The series, which premiered on Netflix on December 8, now reportedly has the most hours viewed of any Netflix documentary title in a premiere week. Harry & Meghan debuted at No. 2 on Netflix’s English-language TV charts and is currently ranked in the Top 10 in 85 countries. Woot.
We’re sure Volume II will do the same.
