Two years after getting caught up in an “entanglement” with married Jada Pinkett-Smith, it appears August Alsina has found a new love in his life.
During the season finale of VH1’s “The Surreal Life,” August Alsina opened up about finding love in a “new way” and how he’s healing from past trauma. The “No Love” singer, 30, credited a man standing nearby with discovering “a love that feels limitless.”

”This experience has taught me love in so many forms and facets. And then what do you know? Love showed up, but in a new way,” he said during a confessional as the credits began to roll.
“I want to share that and really honor the person that I love and loves me back and is teaching me so much about love and healing. I want to do that in front of the world because it defies all of the constructs one would say love is supposed to be or love should look like.”
After August declared his love for the person, the man joined August in front of the camera. As they embraced, August said, “I love you.”

August Alsina does not specify his sexual orientation or how he knows the man. The singer has yet to comment on the incident on his social media accounts.
Rumors that August may have found a “new love” have been swirling for months now.
Fans identified the man August is calling his new love as Zu, an aspiring singer. August and Zu collaborated on the track “2am,” which was released in June.
According to social media users, Zu is Alsina’s “little brother,” although it’s unclear whether this is an unknown biological sibling or a close friend. Fans also said Zu is signed to August.

Back in September, August posted Zu on his Instagram after performing with him in Washington, D.C.
In July, the “I Luv This Sh*t” singer shared a video of himself and Zu wishing his mother, Shelia, a Happy Birthday:
“Happy birthday to our MF mama! I’m so proudddd to be Sheila Boy!!!” he wrote in the caption.
Some social media users believe August did this “love announcement” as a stunt for ratings to entice another season of the show.
In Summer 2020, August revealed he had been romantically involved with Jada Pinkett Smith. Later, Jada, who has been married to actor Will Smith since 1997, stated she and her husband had separated for a period of time during her “entanglement” with August.
