It may seem like Mercury Retrograde is taking out damn near every celebrity relationship, but love is still in the air. #BlackLove is still alive and thriving. And we’re happy about it.

”Queen Sugar” and “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” star Omar Dorsey popped the question to director/producer Crystle Roberson (“BMF,” “All American,” “Queens”) recently. And she said “YES!”

The bride-to-be shared the happy news on Instagram:

”I said YES to a LEGEND and a LEGENDARY LOVE!! @omarjdorsey Cheers to us. I love you,” she wrote in the caption of a coupledom video of herself and her man.

The “Queen Sugar” star also shared the engagement news on his Instagram, writing, “Never met anyone in my life @ccroberson_directs And THAT’S why I’m so Happy to say she said YES when I just asked her to marry me! Like Jack said in “As Good As it Gets” You make me want to be a better man! You brought the “Hollywood” out of me Crystle. I love you!

Aww! We love to see it.

Omar Dorsey was last romantically linked to actress Conisha Wade. After two years of dating, word on the curb is that Omar and Conisha got married in 2012. They later welcomed two daughters, Olivia (a Howard grad) and Olympia:

It’s unclear when they called it quits. Despite that relationship not working out, Omar was blessed with two gorgeous daughters.

Congrats to the couple!

Speaking of #BlackLove…

On Friday, “P-Valley” star J. Alphonse Nicholson wed his longtime love, Nafeesha.

The lovebirds tied the knot at the Vibiana Cathedral, which had been turned into an event space, in the downtown Los Angeles region after six years of dating and a three-year engagement.

The couple reportedly exchanged vows in front of 150 friends and family members, including celeb friends Lance Gross and his wife Rebecca, “The Chi’s” Miriam A. Hyman, Kindred actress Sheria Irving, and actor Jerry O’Connell. Singer Adrian Marcel performed for the couple, while the groom, who has musical roots, played a set of bucket drums.

A cannabis bar with pre-rolls from J’s The Phonzie line, which the actor co-founded with Black-owned company Ball Family Farms, was also featured during the lavish ceremony. His strain was available for guests to sample during the wedding reception. Although the “P-Valley” star partakes in smoking marijuana, Nafeesha abstains from doing so.

“I don’t smoke,” the Oakland, Calif. native told the women-focused outlet. “But because it means so much to him it means so much to me too.”

As J was still envisioning what his life as an actor may be, he met Nafeesha in 2016. During that time, he spent as much time drumming on buckets at New York City subway stations as he did drumming in Oakland to earn additional money. Despite his shortcomings, Nafeesha remained by his side.

“She told me and I believe her, that if that never changed she would be with me to this day,” shared J.

The Nicholsons got engaged in 2019 as COVID started, managing their long-distance union while J was performing on Broadway in NYC. The couple finally moved in together in 2020 after choosing a Los Angeles residence.

“We just hung out and had a great time and just fell more and more in love with each other,” J explained. “We spent some quality time with our children (he has a son from a previous relationship, she has a daughter) and towards the end of the pandemic, I told her, I said, ‘Listen, I’m not trying to wait.”

He added that at the time he said, “We got to have this wedding, but I’m not trying to wait to have it. So can we just go down to this little spot, get married, go ahead and get my ring on my finger?’ She already had one. I wanted one on mine. So we made that happen and started to think about a date for the actual wedding.”

They rekindled their relationship and decided to marry one another after being apart for 10 months as he filmed the second season of “P-Valley” in Atlanta.
