A 1,500-pound sculpture that occupied space where a statue of Robert E. Lee once stood has been removed from its spot in New Orleans’ Harmony Circle.
“Sentinel,” the 16-feet-tall statue, was created by New York-based artist Simone Leigh as part of the Prospect.5 international art exhibit held in New Orleans last fall, per the today!
