WASHINGTON — The Democratic-controlled Senate was poised to make history on Thursday by confirming Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court.
The Senate voted 53 to 47 to limit debate, setting up a final vote in the afternoon. The total included all 50 Democratic caucus members, along with Republicans Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Mitt Romney of Utah.
