At Disney California Adventure’s new Avengers Campus, guests can “refuel with Ant-Man and The Wasp’s size-defying fare” at the Pym Test Kitchen. This includes a new dish called the “Family-Sized Pym-ini Sandwich,” which costs $99.99. However, many believe the price does not match the sandwich’s quality.
What We Know:
- The restaurant’s menu specifies the sandwich, which contains salami, rosemary ham, provolone, and sun-dried tomato spread on toasted focaccia with sides of marinara dipping sauce, potato bites, and arugula salad, serves six to eight guests and comes out to around $12.50 to $16.50 per person.
- Criticism began when My Nguyen gave her TikTok followers an exclusive first look at the new dish.

- Some disagreed with the price. One user commented, “It doesn’t look that great, sorry. Salami and ham for $100?” Another stated that for Disney to charge $100 for the Pym-ini, it should at least contain saffron, caviar, or black truffle.
- Others did not see an issue with the amount. One of her followers wrote that her family of five usually pays more when they go out to eat. The person felt that the sandwich would allow them to feed their entire family and have leftovers. Another person mentioned the costliness of theme park food, and how one could easily spend more than $100 on multiple meals.
- In the Know mentions that the other sandwiches on Pym Test Kitchen’s menu range from $12.99 to $15.49 each, so the family meal seems “comparably priced.”
- The Family-Sized Pym-ini Sandwich’s price tag now makes it one of the most expensive sandwiches in the world. Currently, Serendipity 3 in New York City holds the priciest sandwich; their “Quintessential Grilled Cheese” costs $214.
Those who do not want to drop $100 on the new dish can get a regular-sized version of it for just $14.49.
