Miami-Dade police have released footage of the masked suspects exiting a stolen SUV outside the El Mula Banquet Hall, opening fire and them fleeing.
What We Know:
- A manhunt for the three suspects enters its third day with few clues released about the individuals. The suspects entered the banquet hall after midnight before opening fire freely into the crowd. The suspects were armed with semi-automatic rifles and left two people dead and 21 others injured.
- As of last Monday, 13 of those injured remained hospitalized. Three of the victims were in critical condition. The vehicle that the suspects drove was found submerged in a canal. The white Nissan Pathfinder had been reported stolen on May 15th.
- There haven’t been any arrests made or suspects identified so far. The banquet hall was hosting an album release party at the time of the attack. The party featured performances from local rappers as well. Authorities suspect that a dispute between two rival groups was what ignited the violence.
- A reward of $160,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved. A large portion of that money is being offered by Marcus Lemonis. Lemonis is a businessman and TV personality who calls Miami his hometown.
Police are not releasing the names of any of the victims due to privacy laws and continue to investigate the case further.
