This is the second brick-and-mortar Day & Night Cereal Bar location in the United States.
What We Know:
- The cereal bar concept first originated in Los Angeles as a food truck. It expanded and opened its first brick location in Indiana back in February. The Charlotte location will be overseen by local recording artists Greg Robinson and Danielle Booker. Karmon Depree Jr. started the cereal bar concept in 2020 as a food truck in Los Angeles.
- Dupree approached Robinson and Booker with intentions to expand his business. The Charlotte location is set to open its doors at 1 pm, April 10th, in Latta Arcade. The bar’s schedule is expected to be Tuesday through Sunday, 11 am to 7 pm. When things begin to settle after the initial opening, Robinson and Booker plan to extend Day and Night’s hours so that it can be a spot for locals to have a late night snack.
- Robinson and Dupree both grew up in the Shaker Heights area of Cleveland, Ohio. They grew up in the same area as rapper Kid Cudi, who is known for his song “Day and Night.”
“That’s where the inspiration for the name Day and Night came from,” Robinson explained to reporters.
- The cereal bar intends to encourage customer creativity when they walk through its doors. Day and Night plans to “reinvent the most important meal of the day.”
- The cereal selection will range from Fruit Loops and Honey Nut Cheerios to other cereals offered in other countries. The bar menu will offer pre-made bowl ideas as well and also cereal shakes. It will offer a basic build-your-own cereal bowl/shake that includes two kinds of cereal and two toppings. The bowls are $7, while the shakes are $8.
Robinson and Booker are also considering a special Charlotte-themed menu that will often change during special events.
