Floyd Mayweather’s Futuristic Birthday Bash Halted by Miami Cops

The retired professional boxer hosted his 44th birthday at Swan nightclub.

What We Know:

  • Floyd Mayweather arrived two hours late to his own private dinner being hosted at Swan nightclub in Miami, Florida. The venue broke local curfew laws, which list curfew at 12 am. As a result of the violation, the party was shut down, and Swan nightclub was issued a $500 fine for going against the emergency order. Mayweather also celebrated his birthday last week in Ft. Lauderdale.
  • The previous party in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, was hosted at The Venue nightclub. Mayweather arrived in a 2 million dollar Bugatti to the event and was seen with artist Rick Ross throughout the night. Upon his arrival, he was asked questions about his upcoming scheduled exhibition match with internet personality Logan Paul. Mayweather is retired with a boxing record of 50 wins and zero losses. He also carries 15 major world titles in five different weight classes.
  • “I know it’s going to happen,” Mayweather stated. There isn’t currently a set date for the match, but Mayweather has expressed that he believes a possible location could be at the Las Vegas Raiders’ NFL Stadium, which is fit to occupy 80,000 people.
  • The Mayweather x Logan exhibition match was initially scheduled for last spring but was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. Mayweather is not actively training for the match but asserts that he regularly stays in shape, even in retirement.
  • It appears that no masks were reported seen at either of Mayweather’s events. Florida doesn’t require the use of masks, and officially, the state “recommends” that the general public use face coverings. The current Florida Health Advisory mentions that local governments are barred from assessing fines and penalties for noncompliance. Governor Ron DeSantis extended the executive order to ban mask mandates in November 2020.

Mayweather doesn’t seem to let anything throw him off balance, whether that be in the boxing ring or in real life.
