Colonel Sanders is getting some extra television screen time with the help of an unlikely collaboration.
What We Know:
- KFC and Lifetime have announced a partnership to create a holiday mini-movie. According to CNN, the two are teaming up to create a 15-minute short film titled, “A Recipe for Seduction.” The short film will star Mario Lopez as this iconic company symbol and founder of KFC, Colonel Sanders.
- The story of the film is being described as a holiday love affair involving a young heiress whose mother has arranged for her marriage. “But when a handsome, young chef with a secret fried chicken recipe and a dream arrives, he sets in motion a series of events that unravel the mother’s devious plans,” the duo revealed in a press release.
- You can’t watch a movie without snacks, so KFC is also collaborating with the Uber Eats app to offer a special promotion to support the film. From December 13th-19th, viewers can get six extra crispy tenders with their $20 purchase.
