Demi Lovato, an American singer, songwriter, actress, television personality, author, and activist whom two years ago was rushed to an L.A. hospital suffering a drug overdose, states she is now “free of my demons”.
What We Know:
- Two years after her nearly fatal overdose on July 24, 2018, Demi Lovato (27) has a lot to “celebrate”. Lovato revealed Wednesday on her Instagram, that she and Young and The Restless actor, Max Ehrich are engaged.
- Through her personal journey, she also marked the second anniversary since her hospitalization as her “miracle day”. “Today is my miracle day. I’m so blessed to have one. It represents how the Dr’s at Cedar’s Sinai saved my life. How my life has become something beyond my wildest dreams.” First responders who came to her aid on that day, used Naxolone to reverse the effects of the overdose.

- The singer has shown clearly that her new happy outlook is not because she just “fell in love”, but due to the fact she has “done more work on myself than I have in my entire life” mentally and physically. On June 25, 2019, she wrote on her Instagram story about her recent musical endeavors. “You know what’s great about making an album? You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and finally tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it.”
- In early July, Lovato also opened up on how the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has offered her a chance to slow down and focus on herself. “Before quarantine, it was very difficult for me to cry. I had programmed the thought into my head when I was 16 that I’m only going to cry if people pay me to,” the singer revealed.
It seems there has been a ton of change for Lovato within the past years, but truly with the best outcome!
