The half-brother of, Robert Fuller, a Black man who was found dead hanging from a tree on Palmdale, California was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting.
What We Know:
- According to the family’s attorney, Jamon Hicks, the incident occurred Wednesday. He says, “This afternoon I had to notify the sisters of Robert Fuller that their half-brother Terron Jammal Boone was killed by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies in Kern County”. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were searching for a “kidnap domestic assault” suspect when they were shot at.
- The description of the man fit Fuller’s brother. A 7-year-old girl and a woman were also in the vehicle with Boone. The woman was shot and injured and has since been released from the hospital; the child was not injured. The family’s attorney says, “At this time, until we receive all of the information, the family and their legal team doesn’t have any further comment on this incident. The family respectfully asks that their privacy be respected.”
- The victim’s brother, Robert Fuller, was found last week hanging from a tree in Palmdale, California which was ruled an “alleged suicide”. Although it was ruled as a suicide, the LA County Medical Examiner’s Coroner “felt prudent to roll that back and continue to look deeper”. They are searching his family medical history, looking for the witness who made the initial report and going through his cell phone records.
