Rapper Saucy Santana and two other men were shot and wounded shortly after leaving a North Miami-Dade strip club.
What We Know:
- Justin Harris formerly known as Saucy Santana and another friend had left The Office Gentlemen’s Club on Wednesday 11, 2019, and were driving to the northbound Interstate 95 ramp at Miami Gardens Drive when a white Chevrolet sedan pulled up alongside them. Someone inside the car began shooting into Santana’s white Honda sedan.
- He and his two passengers were struck by bullets around 4 a.m. Santana and his front-seat passenger were shot in the arm. The other passenger was shot in the hand.
- The Tallahassee rapper, who found fame with his most recent song “Walk Em Like A Dog,” was in Miami scouting locations for a new video. The rapper said in a statement “I’m lucky, blessed to be alive. I got shot in the top of my shoulder, you was aiming at my face or at my head, that’s an instant kill.”
- Santana and his two friends were taken to Aventura Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The I-95 on-ramp in the area was closed during the investigation. It was reopened after morning rush hour.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the police.
Good for rapper Saucy Santana for speaking out against homophobia. What happened to him the other day in Miami was preposterous and I hope they catch whoever was targeting him pic.twitter.com/V3VnZRRwXI
