An autopsy of the three-year-old revealed multiple drugs were in the kidnapped girl’s body when she died.
What We Know:
- McKinney was kidnapped from a birthday party on Oct. 12 in Alabama. ABC News reported that the two suspects, Patrick Stallworth and Derick Brown lured the girl away from the party with candy.
- The couple drugged the girl with methamphetamine and Trazodone, an antidepressant commonly used to treat insomnia. Her body was found in a dumpster, where the couple left the girl after suffocating her.
- On Tuesday, a judge decided the charges warranted a grand jury trial. The pair is facing the death penalty if convicted for charges of capital murder of a child under 14.
