Xscap3 member and Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star Kandi Burruss admit to losing one of her surrogate twins.
What We Know:
- In October, we reported that Kandi Burruss and her husband of five years, Todd Tucker, were expecting a new bundle of joy via surrogate. This past Sunday on the season 12 premiere of Real Housewives of Atlanta, the 43-year-old gave an update on her family’s surrogate journey.
- “We actually was supposed to be having twins and then one of them didn’t continue,” Burruss says in her confessional. “I was sad at first, but then I just had to be grateful that the one made it,” she added.
- The Grammy-award winning singer and her husband chose a surrogate this time around due to her pregnancy being high-risk when she previously carried her 3-year-old son, Ace. She also experienced having fibroids, which are noncancerous growths within the uterus.
- Burruss admits that although the couple was excited to announce that they were expecting, it has been an overwhelming process. “I just feel like this whole situation is strange. I don’t get to be excited about the first kick. I don’t get to be excited about, ‘Oh now my baby bump is showing. I don’t get to be excited about my boobs filling up with milk,” she confessed. “You have this guilt [and] sadness. So it’s a joyous, yet interesting experience,” the current mother of three expressed.
According to Hollywood Unlocked, the couple says they are expecting their new addition to the family this month! It’s sad to hear that one of the babies didn’t make it but, we wish the Tuckers all the best on finishing out their surrogate journey strong, as well as, welcoming their new bundle of joy.
