JT from the City Girls rap duo has officially been released from prison.
What We Know:
- On Tuesday, October 7, 2019, Yung Miami one of the members from the rap group City Girls announced that other half of the group Jatavia “JT” Johnson was officially released from prison after serving more than a year behind bars.
- Yung Miami also shared the news on Instagram and Twitter about their new track “First Day Out” by JT which was dropped Tuesday night at 10 pm E.T.
- In the summer of 2018, JT began serving a 24-month prison sentence on credit card fraud charges. During the star’s time in prison as their songs climbed the top of charts, the group was signed to the label Quality Control.
- In June, Pierre “Pee” Thomas the CEO of QC hinted that the star would be getting released soon. He also said, “When JT come home she going to the halfway house but the great thing about the halfway house is they let you go on work release, so soon as she’s out she’s gonna be locked in the studio working.”
Now that the rap star is out fans are excited to see what other new music the duo will come up with next.
