Fresh off settling a tumultuous lawsuit with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, Megan Thee Stallion is seemingly gearing up for something special. On Monday (Oct. 23) evening, the Houston rapper unveiled a teaser that hinted at “ACT ONE” of her new phase.
Accompanied by eerie background music, a close-up shot of Megan’s lips was seen floating in a void at the beginning of the clip. She recited, “Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past over and over again.” The camera then zoomed out to showcase reptile-like pupils in her eyes, culminating in a shot of dripping fangs.
Monday’s post followed a slew of similar teases featuring snake imagery, a recurring motif in her recent updates. Earlier this month, The “Hot Girl Summer” hitmaker shared a three-second video with a caption that read, “Let’s begin…”

While Megan hasn’t formally declared her upcoming project, speculation abounds that a music video might be in the works. The suspicion was fueled by a series of posts on Instagram, collectively spelling “ACT ONE.” They depicted an ouroboros, a serpent eating its own tail.
In a recent Instagram Live session, Megan also announced she is now an independent artist. The rapper explained, “We in my pockets, Hotties, so let’s do our big one… I’m so excited to be doing something for the first time independent since it was just me and my mama. [I’m] so excited because it’s really just me this go-round until we sign to a new label. I don’t want to sign to a new label right now because I just want to do it myself until I’m completely out of [this deal].”
Earlier this year, the musician collaborated with Cardi B on “Bongos” and released “Out Alpha The Alpha” for the A24 movie D**ks: The Musical.
