*“The Real Housewives of Potomac” is back for an eighth season, and a new housewife has joined the cast.
As TheWrap reports, the Season 7 cast is back, including Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, Wendy Osefo, Candiace Dillard-Bassett, Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Mia Thornton. Joining the cast is newcomer Nneka “Neco” Ihim, a Nigerian-American lawyer who is newly married to a plastic surgeon. Gizelle calls her the “new Grand Dame.”
“We are all Black women and we are all going through our different things in our lives and we’re going to embrace that,” Ashley says in the trailer. “We’re going to keep Potomac weird, OK?”
The preview also shows Nneka telling cameras, “My daddy is a rich b* tch and he made sure his daughter was a rich b*tch too.”
As Reality Blurb reports, Nneka tells her husband, “Thanks for buying me a $2 million house.”
Elsewhere in the trailer, Thornton grills Darby about her estranged husband Michael. As we reported previously, Darby and her ex parted ways after eight years of marriage. They officially called it quits ahead of the RHOP season 7 premiere with Ashley announcing they split after “almost 8 magical years” of marriage.
“We have decided to separate. We are aware that there will be many speculative views as to why we have made this decision,” she said in a statement in April 2022. “People will be quick to assume that the causes were too much intrusion by reality TV into the most personal parts of our lives, age gap issues, cultural problems, or child-rearing differences. Pieces of all these may have affected our pure love for each other, but no one reason is the root cause of our mutual decision to go our separate ways.”

“The Real Housewives of Potomac” first premiered in 2016, the new season airs on Bravo on Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET and the next day on Peacock.
