*Alicia Keys has filed a trademark application for her own signature line of beverages called Alicia Teas.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, the singer’s company, AK Worldwide, filed a trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Sept. 18, and is waiting for an attorney to be assigned to the case.
The songstress previously filed to trademark Alicia Teas in October 2019 and was assigned to an examiner in March of this year, according to TMZ.
In January 2020, Keys’ husband, producer Swizz Beatz, gifted her with her own line of teas called Alicia’s Teas. As The Messenger reports, in a now-deleted video, Swizz said at the time, “Everybody in Starbucks all around the world will gonna see Alicia Teas. Happy birthday, baby. Love you.”
Keys and Swizz met when they were teenagers growing up in New York City in the ’90s. The two would later work together as artists before tying the knot in 2010.
“We ended up in the same circles at various awards shows and industry events,” Keys once said about her relationship with Swizz Beatz, per People. “He’d usually pull up in some fancy car, rolling deep with his Bronx crew and shining with diamonds. I wanted nothing to do with that scene or with Swizz.”
“The more we talked the more I noticed how his mind worked,” Keys previously said, per HuffPost. “Beyond the baggy jeans and arm tats there was depth. He was so aware of what was happening around the world.”
In August, Keys announced her five popular Keys Soulcare skin products would be available in Ulta Beauty’s “What We Are Loving” section.
As Black Enterprise reports, the products include “the VIRAL Let Me Glow Illuminating Serum; Golden Cleanser; Truly Becoming Multi-Benefit Peptide Serum; Original Skin Transformation Cream; and Protect Your Light Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30,” the outlet writes.
