*According to Leslie Jones, Chris Rock went to counseling after Will Smith slapped him at the Oscars.
Jones told People that she was so f*cking mad” after Smith assaulted the comedian at the awards show.
“I would’ve been running around that stage like ‘Will, calm down. Jada, call your man,’” she continued.
“That sh*t was humiliating. It really affected him,” Jones said. “People need to understand his daughters, his parents, saw that. He had to go to counseling with his daughters.”
According to Jones, Smith shouldn’t have accepted the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in “King Richard.”
“He could have still fixed it,” Jones said. “‘I shouldn’t have did that. Bring Chris out. I can not accept the Oscar right now because that was f*cking wrong.’”
According to Smith insider, he has “tried unsuccessfully” to make amends with Rock after slapping him at the 94th Academy Awards.
A source previously told People that Smith has “felt terrible” about the incident.
We reported previously that Rock addressed the slap in his Netflix comedy special “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage.” In it, Rock makes clear that he is “not a victim, baby; you’ll never see me on Oprah or Gayle, crying. You will never see it. Never gonna happen,” he said.
“I got smacked at the f—ing Oscars by this m—-f—er. And people are like, ‘Did it hurt?’ It still hurts!” said Rock.
He also took aim at Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith by subtly mocking her “entanglement” with singer August Alsina.
“Everybody got pissed off about him doing a special. That’s what comedians do,” Jones said of Rock’s Selective Outrage standup special, per People. “Instead of us going crazy we fucking go talk about it on the fucking stage. Thank God we’ve got the stage.”
