In New York City on Monday a man was killed when he saved his 5-year-old daughter from being hit from a subway train, according to CNN.
What We Know:
- This took place around 8 a.m. at Kingsbridge Road station in the Bronx.
- Two men went to go save her, Jairo Torres and Antonyo Love, according to Spectrum News. They both were awarded certificates of merit. She was not injured, only some minor scratches due to her landing in a safe spot under the train.
- The dad was pronounced dead at the scene. Niurka Caraballo, the mother said, “My little girl is in perfect condition thanks to God and the angels that protected her.”
After the girl crawled out of the subway all that she could ask is ‘What happened to my daddy?'”
