A24’s Dicks: The Musical, formerly known as F***ing Identical Twins, has officially released its first trailer starring Megan Thee Stallion alongside the film’s writers, Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp.
The film is A24’s first musical comedy, and as Toronto International Film Festival has reported, it will screen as part of the September festival’s Midnight Madness selection. The film stars Bowen Yang, Megan Mullaly, Nathan Lane and Megan Thee Stallion in her biggest film/TV role yet.
Jackson and Sharp play two businessmen who realize that they are in fact, identical twins. As has been described before, the film is like a grown-up version of The Parent Trap. According to the official description:
Two self-obsessed businessmen (writers Aaron Jackson & Josh Sharp) discover they’re long-lost identical twins and come together to plot the reunion of their eccentric divorced parents, in this riotously funny and depraved musical from comedy icon Larry Charles (Seinfeld, Borat) also starring Megan Thee Stallion, Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, and Bowen Yang as God.
Dicks: The Musical comes to theaters Sept. 29.
Megan is also set to star in an upcoming Netflix film from Uncut Gems directors and brothers Josh and Benny Safdie. So far, the film’s plot and title haven’t been released, but it has been reported that Megan would star opposite Adam Sandler and, according to Sandler, the film will be set in “in the world of sports memorabilia.”
