Texas Tops List of WORST States to Live in (Hey, We’re Just the Messenger)! | VIDEO

*Recently, CNBC released its rankings of the best and worst states to live in the country.

According to CNBC, Life, Health & Inclusion is one of the ten criteria used to determine the best and worst states to live in, USA Today reports. Its rankings are based on the network’s annual study of the best states for business in 2023.

As USA Today reports, each state is ranked according to factors such as the number of crimes per capita, the quality of the environment, health care, workers’ rights, anti-discrimination laws, abortion laws, voting rights, and childcare access. 

Texas topped the list as the worst state to live in America, while Vermont is the best place to live.

The top 10 worst states to live and work in the U.S. in 2023 are:

  1. Texas
  2. Oklahoma
  3. Louisiana
  4. South Carolina and Alabama (tie)
  5. —
  6. Missouri
  7. Indiana
  8. Tennessee
  9. Arkansas
  10. Florida

The Top 10 best states to live and work are:

    1. Vermont
    2. Maine
    3. New Jersey
    4. Minnesota
    5. Hawaii
    6. Oregon
    7. Washington
    8. Massachusetts and  Colorado (tie)
    9. —
    10. Connecticut

America’s top states for Business are: 

  1. North Carolina
  2. Virginia
  3. Tennesse
  4. Georgia
  5. Minnesota
  6. Texas
  7. Washington
  8. Florida
  9. Utah
  10. Michigan
