*Social media influencer Ashley Grayson and her husband Joshua Grayson are facing racketeering and murder charges as part of a wild TikTok sandal.
Ashley became an Internet sensation after claiming to have made $1 million within 40 minutes through her online platform, Digital Course Recipe, Black Enterprise reports. In 2017, Grayson apparently used her riches to launch her AM/PM Credit Repair company. At the time, she shared a heartfelt post about quitting her job.
“Today is my last day clocking in and working for anyone else,” Grayson reportedly said in the post on social media. “I’m now making more in one month with my business than I was making in three months working inside the post office. Yep! I tripled my federal salary in my pajamas. Just working from home and helping others reach their goals.”
Over the years, Ashley apparently claimed to have made millions through her business coaching company and mentorship. Many of her clients, however, said her teachings were ineffective.
Several social media sleuths ultimately dug up information about Ashley’s million-dollar lifestyle and discovered she acquired her money through a worker’s comp settlement, not online credit repair coaching. Per HITC.com, “she confirmed that the rumors were true. Ashley explained she was injured by a conveyor belt, leaving one of her fingers missing,” the outlet writes.

Here’s more from HITC:
One ex-client of Ashley, Sherell Hodge, took to TikTok and claimed that she had been scammed by the “8-figure” business coach. And she wasn’t the only one.
Plenty of other critics took to social media to share their grievances too, however, Sherell was the one that got sued.
Amid the trial, Ashley took things a step further. Court documents reveal that Ashley and her husband, Joshua Gray, have been accused of hiring a hit man to kill Sherell and two other people — another business coach and Ashley’s ex-boyfriend.
The FBI has gotten involved and Ashley and her husband were indicted on RICO charges: racketeering and attempted murder, Black Enterprise reports.
