Odell Beckham Jr is adding fuel to the fire for the Monday night game of the Cleveland Browns against the New York Jets.
What We Know:
- OBJ is attacking Jets Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams for demanding Browns’ players try and injure him in a 2017 preseason game, when he was with the NY Giants.
- OBJ stated how he was worried about any cheap shots the Jets’ defense will give him rather than the defensive backs playing man, according to the NFL.
- Browns Cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun made a cheap shot during a preseason game. He tried to go after his injured knee, according to OBJ. He continued “If God wouldn’t have blessed me the way that I am, I would have blown my knee in that preseason game if I couldn’t have gotten my foot out the ground…”
- Williams has a history with rough calls. He was suspended in 2012 for his major part in “Bountygate” where Saints players were paid for injuring opponents.
- The Jets have not commented on the allegations and Williams is expected to make a statement to the media on Friday.
Both the Browns and Jets are coming on Monday with one loss so both teams will be searching to get out a W to push their playoff hopes into overdrive.
