Some love their furry friends so much that they can’t bear to leave them behind. While it isn’t possible to bring your dog everywhere (unless it’s a service animal), you won’t encounter trouble finding pet-friendly accommodations in The Big Apple.
New Yorkers love dogs, and this is evident in the number of doggy gyms, grooming studios, and dog parks.
Here are five hotels where you and Fido can stay.
Kimpton Hotel Eventi – Chelsea, Manhattan
This Chelsea hotel makes its enthusiasm for your pup clear with the greeting, “All paws welcome.”
There are 292 guest rooms and suites. They are comfortable and tastefully decorated to ensure that you and your dog have a memorable stay. Your dog will be treated to a water bowl in the room and a concierge list of pet-friendly restaurants and other establishments. Special beds are even available on request.
As an area, Chelsea is very dog-friendly. You’ll both enjoy a nice walk on a summer day.
Wall Street Hotel – Financial District, Manhattan
If you thought luxury and pet-friendly couldn’t mix, you’d be quite wrong. As you might expect of anything in the Fi Di district, it’s not cheap. Unfortunately, your dog can’t be left alone in the room or go to any of the restaurants on site. Your dog can enjoy access to a doggy bed, water bowl, and toys. Expect to pay a pet-cleaning fee of around $150, as well as an additional cost in the event your pet damages the room.
William Vale Hotel – Williamsburg, Brooklyn
This vibrant, ultra-modern hotel offers views of Manhattan just across the water. From the comfortable bedding to the artwork mostly done by Brooklyn-based artists, the William Vale Hotel is a nice spot even for locals to do a staycation.

This chic accommodation is ideally situated within walking distance of the restaurants and other businesses of downtown Brooklyn. There are 174 rooms with, and the $25 amenity fee covers Wi-Fi, fitness center access, and Fiji water bottles in your room.
If you can leave Fido in the room for a few hours, grab a drink at the rooftop bar which faces Brooklyn’s skyline. The restaurant offers croissants and market-style snacks.
The Empire Hotel – Upper West Side, Manhattan
The Empire Hotel will gladly welcome you and your dog. For an additional cost, you have the option of booking a VIP Pet Package so your pet can really enjoy the special treatment. This includes the Empire dog bed and organic treats, among other things.
It’s worth noting that you’ll find a lot of dogs along the Upper West Side, especially as you move closer to Central Park.
