Todd Palin filed for divorce from former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin citing ‘incompatibility of temperament.’
What We Know:
- Friday’s filing included child custody for the couple’s youngest child who is 11. In Alaska, when a couple files for divorce, the child custody affidavit is a typical standard form used regarding minor children. The affidavit will include information about the child/children who will be involved in any custody proceedings.
- From 2006 to 2009 Palin served as the governor of Alaska. She shot to fame in the summer of 2008 when the late Sen. John McCain picked her as his running mate in the presidential race against former President Barack Obama.
- The Palin family is no stranger to scandal. Bristol Palin, the former Teen Mom star was pregnant at 17-years-old during her mother’s vice-presidential campaign.
- The Palin’s eldest child Track Palin was arrested for domestic violence charges, in which the 30-year-old pleaded not guilty. The case is ongoing. Palin previously pleaded guilty to criminal trespassing after being accused of breaking into his parents’ home and assaulting his father.
After serving time as governor, Sarah Palin released a stream of books and made multiple cable news appearances. In 2015, she said she was interested in running for president, but later decided against the White House bid.
