A united front?!

Jonathan Majors, accompanied by his supportive new girlfriend Meagan Good, faced the judge for the first time as he heads towards trial in his assault case. The Marvel actor confidently entered a Manhattan courtroom while holding hands with Meagan, both wearing sunglasses as they discreetly made their way inside.

After the hearing concluded, the couple left together, standing by each other through the challenging legal process.

During the court appearance, the judge informed Jonathan that his trial date has been set for August 3rd, emphasizing the importance of his presence. Failure to appear could result in a warrant for his arrest.

Earlier in March, the “Lovecraft Country” star, 33, was arrested by the NYPD on charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, and harassment. These charges stem from an alleged incident where he allegedly slapped his ex-girlfriend in the back of a taxi.

According to the accuser, the CREED III star allegedly engaged in a series of violent actions during a confrontation in New York City. She claims that he pulled her finger, twisted her arm behind her back, struck and cut her ear, and forcefully pushed her into a vehicle, causing her to fall backwards. As a result of this incident, the woman sought medical treatment at a hospital for minor head and neck injuries, as reported by the police.

However, Jonathan’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, countered these allegations on Tuesday. She stated that she provided prosecutors with video evidence that depicts the female accuser attacking her client, rather than the other way around. The woman involved in the case has not been named in court records.

Prior to setting Jonathan’s trial date, the judge made a sealed decision that led to Priya Chaudhry withdrawing the court papers she had previously filed to challenge the case. In the courtroom, Judge Pauley provided copies of her ruling to both Jonathan’s lawyers and the prosecutors, but no specific details from the decision were discussed openly.

Asserting his innocence, the Yale School of Drama graduate has consistently maintained his stance. His legal team has submitted security footage that they claim shows his ex-girlfriend going to a nightclub after the alleged attack without any visible signs of injury.

Fans find it odd that the “Harlem” actress is supporting the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star amid his domestic violence case. See some reactions below:
