*Bill Cosby is facing another sexual assault lawsuit from nine women that was filed in Nevada on Wednesday. A recent law in the state removed the statute of limitations for civil cases.
As NBC News reports, the lawsuit accuses Cosby, 85, of using his “enormous power, fame and prestige” to sexually assault each of the nine accusers.
Former supermodel Janice Dickinson is among those named in the lawsuit. The other women are Lise-Lotte Lublin, Janice Baker Kinney, Lili Bernard, Heidi Thomas, Linda Kirkpatrick, Rebecca Cooper, Pam Joy Abeyta and Angela Leslie, per NBC News.
Andrew Wyatt, his spokesperson, said Cosby’s accusers are motivated by their “addiction to massive amounts of media attention and greed.”
“From this day forward, we will not continue to allow these women to parade various accounts … against Mr. Cosby anymore without vetting them in the court of public opinion and inside of the courtroom,” Wyatt said in a statement.
Cosby is also facing a sexual assault lawsuit from a woman who claims the comedian raped her in 1969.
According to TMZ, the accuser is Victoria Valentino, a former Playboy model who claims Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her over four decades ago after she had dinner with him.
The statute of limitations on sexual assault cases has been temporarily lifted under a California law — paving the way for Valentino’s civil suit. It comes two years after Cosby was released from prison after his sexual assault conviction was overturned.
As NBC News reports, more than 60 women have publicly accused Cosby of sexual abuse, many of the allegations are decades old.
Cosby has denied all allegations of sexual assault.
