Apple TV+’s hit series Silo is getting a second season.
The streamer just announced the Season 2 renewal of the dystopian drama based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling novels. The show “focuses on the last 10,000 people on earth living underground to keep them safe from the outside world they know nothing about. In addition, to being clueless about the world beyond the walls, they don’t know why or how long the silo has existed.”
Since its premiere, ‘Silo’ has been praised for being “riveting and equally start-studded.”
The series stars Rebecca Ferguson, who also serves executive producer.
The cast also stars Common (The Chi), Emmy nominee Harriet Walter (Succession), Chinaza Uche (Dickinson), Avi Nash (The Walking Dead), Critics Choice Award and NAACP winner David Oyelowo (Selma), Emmy-nominee Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation) and Academy Award winner Tim Robbins (Mystic River).
Silo is produced for Apple TV+ by AMC Studios. It is executive produced by Graham Yost, Hugh Howey and Rebecca Ferguson, alongside Academy Award nominee Morten Tyldum, Nina Jack, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, and Ingrid Escajeda.
