The trailer for A24’s Earth Mama, starring Tia Nomore, Doechii, Erika Alexander, Dominic Fike and more, shows a young woman at a crossroads with her family in the Bay Area.
As Shadow and Act previously reported, the film (a Film4 co-production) is the feature directorial debut of Savanah Leaf, who played for the British Olympic team in volleyball. The film is based on her screenplay and is described as “an intimate coming-of-age story of a pregnant single mother who embraces her Bay Area community as she determines the fate of her family.”
The film stars Tia Nomore, Erika Alexander, Keta Price, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Sharon Duncan Brewster, Dominic Fike and Bokeem Woodbine. A release date for the film has yet to be announced.
Earth Mama is produced by A24, Leaf, and Academy Films’ Shirley O’Connor and Medb Riordan with Park Pictures’ Sam Bisbee. Danielle Massie is co-producing with additional production support from Film4.
