Jamie Foxx’s situation is looking increasingly positive. The singer/actor/comedian is reportedly receiving treatment at a renowned rehabilitation center in Chicago after being hospitalized last month for a “medical condition.” The latest update on Jamie’s recovery, plus news about a new game show he’s hosting with his daughter inside…
Jamie Foxx, the charismatic and multi-talented star, is bravely fighting his way back to health after a recent alarming health incident that occurred in Atlanta. But now, he’s in a different city, seeking treatment at a renowned facility hailed as the nation’s premier center for physical medicine and rehabilitation.
In a heartwarming show of support, Jamie’s loved ones, including his devoted daughters Corinne and Anelise, along with Anelise’s mother, Kristin Grannis, made their way to Chicago over the weekend.
The circumstances surrounding the Dreamgirls star’s current situation remain shrouded in mystery, leaving us with unanswered questions about the exact nature of his condition and the reasons behind his presence at the facility. However, we do know that this esteemed establishment in Chicago specializes in an array of vital areas such as stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab, and cancer rehabilitation.
According to TMZ, the Oscar winning actor made his way to this Chicago facility towards the end of April, following an initial phase of treatment at a hospital in Atlanta. Sources close to the talented actor reassure us that he is making positive strides on his road to recovery, instilling hope for his well-being and future.
Jamie’s loved ones radiated positivity and joy throughout the weekend, providing glimpses of hope for his recovery. Encouraging signs indicate that he is alert and actively engaged, as exemplified by Kristin leaving the center with vibrant Mother’s Day flowers and a cheerful balloon. Anelise, carrying her guitar, suggests the possibility of heartfelt musical moments shared with her father, recognizing the profound importance of music in Jamie’s life.
Corinne, who has been by her father’s side since his hospitalization, was accompanied by her boyfriend during at least one visit. She was seen smiling, which could potentially signify positive developments for Jamie. Towards the end of the previous week, Corinne shared the uplifting news that her father had been out of the hospital for several weeks, focusing on his recuperation. She even mentioned his involvement in the game of pickleball.
Just a few days ago, Corinne took to social media to debunk all those unconfirmed rumors suggesting that Jamie was on life support and that the family was bracing themselves for the worst.
”Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” Corrine wrote in the caption of her IG Story that shared a screenshot of a false headline. “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”
Speaking of Corinne…
Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne are teaming up for another gig together.
The father-daughter duo is all set to co-host a new music game show called “We Are Family,” according to Variety. The show has been given the green light and ordered to series by Fox.
Jamie also hosts the Fox music game show “Beat Shazam,” and Corinne is the show’s DJ. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Nick Cannon will guest host with Kelly Osborne filling in as the DJ for the new season of “Beat Shazam,” which is set to premiere this summer.
“We Are Family” does not yet have a release date, but it is expected to debut in 2024.
”Showcasing non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their hidden famous family member, ‘We Are Family’ will feature a studio audience entirely comprised of 100 contestants playing through multiple rounds of clues and gameplay to win up to $100,000 each by correctly guessing which celebrity the performer is related to before they are revealed,” according to the official description. “Celebrities on ‘We Are Family’ will include musicians, professional athletes, actors, and others.”
Apploff Entertainment and Fox Alternative Entertainment, which created the show, will co-produce the series. Jeff Apploff and Jamie will serve as executive producers on “We Are Family.” The series’ showrunner and executive producer will be Matilda Zoltowski.
“Jamie and Corinne are important partners to the Fox Family,” said Allison Wallach, president of unscripted programming for Fox Entertainment. “Their boundless energy and charming interplay with contestants are irresistible, which make them the perfect hosts of ‘We Are Family.’ This series joins Fox’s fast-growing list of premium music-centric competition series.”
“We are thrilled to be developing ‘We Are Family’ with Jeff Apploff and our friends at Fox Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of ‘Beat Shazam,’” said Jamie and Corinne Foxx. “We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”
We send out heartfelt prayers and well wishes for Jamie Foxx’s ongoing recovery. May he find strength, healing, and support during this time.
