*Simone Biles married NFL safety Jonathan Owens on Saturday during an intimate courthouse ceremony in Houston.

For her wedding-day look, Biles, 26, wore her hair pulled back into a ponytail. But once images of her nuptials began circulating online, Twitter had much to say about her “mess” of a hairstyle.

As Page Six reports, one user wrote that her “edges should have been laid,” adding, “It is her wedding day. This ain’t regular hair day.”

The Olympic gold medalist had plenty of defenders, as one person posted: “Simone Biles is one of THEE top gymnasts we’ve ever seen, has overcame situations of abuse and other obstacles in her childhood, has defined her own success and found love and is now happily married…,” the person wrote. “And y’all worried about her hair…..?!”
