*Coolio‘s death was allegedly caused by a lethal mix of drugs.

According to the medical examiner, the rapper died from a fentanyl overdose, RadarOnline reports. He also had traces of heroin and methamphetamines in his system.

Coolio (born Artis Leon Ivey Jr.) was found unconscious on the bathroom floor of a friend’s house in Los Angeles on Sept. 28. Paramedics reportedly pronounced him dead at the scene.

The artist allegedly suffered from severe asthma for many years and his friends believe this may have contributed to his death.

Sources told TMZ that Coolio “struggled” with the lung condition. His severe asthma and cigarette addiction may have made his body too weak to fight back, which caused his death, per Radar.

We reported previously that Coolio had been working on a studio album prior to his death and his estate plans to release it later this year.

The posthumous album is titled “Long Live Coolio” and the visual for the first single, “TAG ‘You It,’” dropped last month, featuring Too $hort and DJ Wino. You can watch the video for the raunchy track below.

According to NBC News, the video marks the last piece of visual content Coolio appeared in before his death at age 59.
