*Christians around the world mark Good Friday, a Christian holiday, remembering the crucifixion of Jesus and refrain from eating meat on Fridays in his honor as it represents flesh, to remember Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice.
Fishmongers during the holy week, tend to sell very well than any other time in the year in the run-up to Good Friday. When Christ was crucified along with two criminals, one on His right and the other on His left he asked for the forgiveness of mankind by saying… “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”
The world is full of bigots and some could be nasty toward their fellow human beings. This was quite pronounced along tribal lines before, during, and after the Nigerian Presidential election last February, which President-elect Bola Tinubu won.
Same with the National Assembly and Governor elections which followed in March. At the time of writing this, Nigeria remains resilient despite all its troubles.
Who knows what next will rear its ugly head?
