Lizzo Extends First-Look Deal With Amazon Studios, Casting For ‘Quadruple Threats’ For Season 2 Of ‘Big Grrrls’ – Shadow and Act

Lizzo and Amazon Studios has announced that the two have extended Lizzo’s first-look deal after her successful reality series, Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.

Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls has earned three Emmy wins and became the first streaming series to win an Emmy for Outstanding Competition Program. The series has also been hailed by others in the industry including the Critics Choice Real TV Awards, Costume Designers Guild Awards, Hollywood Critics Association Television Awards, NAACP Image Awards and Producers Guild Awards.

“I’m thrilled to continue this partnership with the Amazon team after an incredible experience on season one of Watch Out for the Big Grrrls,” said Lizzo in a statement. “I’ve witnessed lives change through this show and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue making space for even more Big Grrrls around the world to shine and break down barriers across this industry.”

Lizzo is now casting for the second season, looking for singers who can also dance, performers the show are describing as “quadruple threats.” Like in the first season, these “dynamic women” will join her on stage. Prospective contestants can apply here. Season 1 can be streamed on Prime Video.
