Coming to America Sequel Adds Tracy Morgan to the Cast

Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock Alum Tracy Morgan is joining Paramounts Coming 2 America.

What We Know:

  • With the recent additions of Jermaine Fowler reportedly playing Eddie Murphy’s long lost son, Wesley Snipes playing General Izzi and Rick Ross‘s unknown role, Tracy Morgan is the icing on the cake for the Coming to America sequel.
  • Morgan’s character is Reem, a hustler who is also Leslie Jones’ brother.
  • According to Deadline, “Akeem is set to become King of Zamunda but discovers he has a son he never knew about in America-a street-savvy Queen native named Lavelle.”
  • Shortly before he gained his acting career back, Tracy Morgan’s life changed in 2014. He was forced into in a coma by a deadly highway crash caused by a sleep-deprived Wal-Mart truck driver that left his best friend, comic James “Jimmy Mack” McNair dead and their limo in pieces.

The sequel hits screens on December 18, 2020.
