Feona has included pages in the book where the young ladies can affix their own photo and write five things that they like about themselves when they look in the mirror.

Feona Sharhran Huff is determined to empower African American women and girls with her new book “Mirror Mirror Standing Tall.”

Feona initially wrote the book as a poem in 2006 when her daughter Clara was six years old and a first grader in Brooklyn, NY. She asked Clara to draw a picture of a Black girl looking at herself. What she created immediately inspired Feona to begin writing.

Clara is now 23 years old and thriving. Clara Huff has also penned her own book: 10 Ways to Spread Love Not Gossip.  Mom Feona says the journey from poem to published book has been empowering, rewarding and impactful.
