The Black Panther actress was up against Jamie Lee Curtis, Hong Chau, Kerry Condon, and Stephanie Hsu in the Best Supporting Actress category. Ultimately, Jamie Lee Curtis took home the prize for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once, and gave a joyous speech thanking her loved ones and collaborators who helped her achieve this milestone.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she shared that she was feeling pretty good as she was joined by her loving husband, Courtney B. Vance, and their adorable twins, Bronwyn and Slater.

“I think it’s long overdue, and I really want to see her be honored the way that I know she should be,” Slater told the outlet. “And so this will mean a lot to me, and I know it’ll mean even more to her, so, I’m waiting I’m waiting and I’m ready for it.”
