A Delta Airlines worker dies while working on a tug at John F. Kennedy airport.
What We Know:
- On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at approximately 3:30 P.M. the worker was struck by the tug near Terminal 4 ramp side at JFK airport.
- According to ABC New York, witnesses say they saw the worker get up from the tug and appear to be hooking up a cart when the tug switched into gear and nailed the victim under.
- The victim’s co-workers used a forklift to remove tug off of the victim however, it was too late.
- Delta Air Lines is currently running a full investigation and have released the following statement: “The Delta team is grieving today following the loss of one of our own. We are extremely saddened by the passing of a JFK below-wing employee and have extended our full support to his family and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.”
The identity of the man has not been released yet.
