“[Rodman] is definitely a role where I’m definitely going to make sure I’m pushing that ceiling out because he demands that,” he said, as reported by ClutchPoints. “He’s such a full individual. So he’s going to demand a lot. I’ve got to figure out how to get that.”

Majors said that he hopes he gets “to sit with him and chat with him when we get closer and [are] trying to get the script right.”

As Shadow and Act reported in 2022, Majors was in early talks at the time to play Rodman. At the time of reporting, the deal hadn’t closed, but with Majors talking about getting into character, it’s clear that Majors is serious about portraying Rodman on screen.

But, as he said, the script has yet to be finalized; as reported in 2022, the spec script focused on Rodman’s “madcap adventure” with his assistant general manager in the midst of the 1998 NBA Finals, leading to a friendship neither expected. Jordan VanDina is behind the screenplay, with Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Aditya Sood producing. Ari Lubet, Will Allegra and Rodman himself are executive producing.

This isn’t the only role on Majors’ list; Majors is already a part of the Marvel acting club with his role as Kang the Conqueror (and his variants) in the MCU, including projects like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Loki. Majors will also star in Spike Lee’s next film, Da Understudy.
