Madame Noire reports the fan was in the audience on March 24 during the “Moment 4 Life” entertainer’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour in Nashville, TN. Minaj and her backup singer and vocal coach Keisha Renee sang the rapper’s hit “The Night Is Still Young” before Minaj abruptly stopped the song to hand the mic to her fan..
“This lady—beautiful lady—she looked me in the eyes. I believe her. She said she could sing,” Minaj said.
“I’m actually shouting out to Jesus today because it’s Palm Sunday (the start of the Holy Week),” the lady, who attended the show with her sister, stated. “And he died on the cross for everybody in here. Everybody!”
Upon hearing the fan’s testimony, Minaj smiled and invited the other Barbz to clap for her, nodding in approval. After she shouted out the Lord, the fan bragged on her sister, who she said had been practicing for a month to sing the solo, Madame Noire noted. Although the woman attempted to give her sister, the opportunity was lost when she led Minaj to think she was going to sing, but the woman lost that chance the minute she led Minaj to think she was going to sing “The Night Is Still Young.” (Click the IG below to watch it happen.)

Before retrieving the mic from a guard while walking toward the sisters, the Super Bass” rapstress acknowledged the Man upstairs.
“Praise God,” Minaj said. “We ain’t mad at praising God.”
Just when it looked like the woman’s sister would get a moment in the spotlight, the 12-time Grammy-nominated rhynesayer changed her mind after asking the sibling to sing. Instead, Minaj searched for another person to make a memory with.
“So, you was lying and…lying and praising Jesus. Okay, bye! Who gon’ sing, actually?” voiced Minaj, who weighed in on the moment after posting it on her Instagram.
“#GAGCITYNashville was the ultimate stop on this tour. She looked me in the eye [and] lied, but it was for a good cause, so does the lie cancel itself out or? I need my believers to chime in,” she wrote. “Jesus, we thank you, tho. Praise God. If God wanted praise at that moment, that’s what we gon’ do! Period. I love you so much, #Nashville. We made the most magical memories together last night. Wow.”
Nicki Minaj’s moment with the fan and her sister triggered reactions from social media users who approved of the woman’s courage to shout out Jesus, while others had a good laugh over the rap star’s reaction.
Nashville was among the cities Minaj visited for her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The outing, the rapper revealed on March 25, marked Nashville’s first female tour to sell out a solo arena show in the city.
